群體感應系統(tǒng)是一種涉及信號分子密度依賴性識別的細胞間交流系統(tǒng)。肺炎鏈球菌是一種常見的條件致病菌,通常無癥狀地定植在人類的鼻咽部,當機體免疫力下降時可引起多種疾病。近年來研究表明肺炎鏈球菌的致病性和耐藥性與群體感應有關,提示可以通過群體感應系統(tǒng)對其進行抑制。群體感應抑制劑具有不易誘導抗生素耐藥、增強細菌生物膜對抗生素敏感性等優(yōu)點。概述了肺炎鏈球菌群體感應系統(tǒng)的調(diào)控機制,如通過外排泵基因過表達誘導抗生素耐藥、調(diào)控毒力因子和調(diào)控生物被膜的形成,歸納了植物源性、人工合成的群體感應抑制劑和具有群體感應抑制劑特性的藥物3類群體感應抑制劑對肺炎鏈球菌群體感應系統(tǒng)的抑制作用,為肺炎鏈球菌群體感應抑制劑的篩選和肺炎鏈球菌的臨床治療提供參考。

Quorum sensing system is an intercellular communication system involving the density-dependent recognition of signal molecules. Streptococcus pneumoniae is a common opportunistic pathogen, and it is usually colonized in the human nasopharynx asymptomatically which can cause a variety of diseases under hypoimmunity. In recent years, studies have reported the pathogenicity and drug resistance of S. pneumoniae were related to population induction, suggesting that it could be prevented by inhibiting quorum sensing of S. pneumoniae. Quorum sensing inhibitors have the advantages of not easily inducing antibiotic resistance and enhancing the sensitivity of bacterial biofilms to antibiotics. This paper summarizes the regulatory mechanism of quorum sensing system of S. pneumoniae, such as the induction of antibiotic resistance through overexpression of efflux pump gene, regulation of virulence factors, and regulation of biofilm formation, reviews the inhibitory effects of plant-derived quorum sensing inhibitors, synthetic quorum sensing inhibitors, and drugs with the characteristics of quorum sensing inhibitors on the quorum sensing system of S. pneumoniae, providing references for the screening of quorum sensing inhibitors of S. pneumoniae and the clinical treatment of S. pneumoniae.
